The Friends of Tredegar House working party The Friends of Tredegar House working party is a small group of volunteers, all members of the Friends organisation, that has been working at Tredegar House producing reproduction furnishings. Unfortunately, when Tredegar House was sold by John Morgan in 1951, most of the furnishings were sold. Soft furnishings such as curtains and bedspreads are were also lost during the houses history, so the working party has been working alongside the Curator, Laura Beresford, to recreate these items, with great success. The Working party produced a replica 17th bed, with matching covers and curtains (above) and a replica bed in the style of the late 19th/early 20th century (right). Both projects were thoroughly researched, and the style of the furniture and their decoration is based on the inventories of the house from the relevant periods.
